Pressure Systems

Concept

Eight weather phenomena, each a different scale of sublime — from a single knocking pipe to a continent-wide frontal collision.

What if a storm isn't something to survive, but something to enter? Pressure Systems is a pure Storm album built around the moment weather stops being scenery and becomes the only thing that exists.

Eight weather phenomena at eight different scales: the fetch of wind across open water, clouds racing below a ceiling, the whiteout that erases every landmark, the sea state that defies the forecast, the water hammer in the walls at 3 AM, the pressure ridge where ice collides in slow motion, the return period of the hundred-year storm, and the frontal system where two air masses meet and everything changes.

No aggression. No defiance. Just the sublime weight of forces that don't know you're there — and the strange peace of being small enough not to matter.
