What is Drift?

Drift is an always-on ambient radio for different moods. Pick a mood, press play, and let the music carry you. No queues, no algorithms, no skip anxiety.

Every track has real structure and soul — not background noise, but music that feels authored. The playlist shuffles smart, so you hear fresh tracks without repeating the same ones.

Six distinct moods, each with a growing library of tracks:

• Focus — Instrumental ambient for deep work
• Calm — Soft textures for winding down
• Late Night — Chillwave and lo-fi for the quiet hours
• Energize — Uplifting beats to get moving
• Groove — Funk, soul, and head-nodding rhythms
• Storm — Cinematic intensity and dark energy

How It Works

Drift runs entirely in your browser. Audio streams with gapless playback between tracks. No accounts, no tracking cookies, no personal data collection.

Install it to your home screen for lock screen controls and an app-like experience on mobile.

Built With

Go backend, SQLite database, vanilla JavaScript frontend. No frameworks, no build step, no bundler. The entire frontend is hand-written HTML, CSS, and JS served as static files.
